Quotes and services

The information on this website is for general guidance and is not a binding offer. The price and delivery date of each translation are agreed in writing for each project, after we have seen your documents.

Intellectual property

The texts, logo and design of this website belong to Translation Gateway and are protected by intellectual property law. Third-party names and logos (such as that of our partner idkep) belong to their respective owners.

Links to other websites

This website contains links to third-party websites. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it or for their privacy practices.

Liability

We make every effort to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this website.

These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Patras have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to your rights under consumer protection law.

We respect your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process, why, and what rights you have, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

Data we process

Depending on how you contact us, we process:

• Contact details (name, email, phone) when you contact us or request a quote.
• The documents you send us for translation and the information they contain. Some documents (e.g. medical reports or criminal record certificates) may contain special categories of personal data.
• Billing details when you commission a translation.
• Technical visit data (IP address, browser type, time), recorded automatically by the web server for security purposes.

Purposes and legal basis

• Answering enquiries and preparing quotes: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Carrying out the translation and related services: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). We process special categories of data contained in your documents solely to produce the translation you request, with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
• Invoicing and tax obligations: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Website security: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who receives your data

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. Only providers who support our work, and who are bound by confidentiality, have access to it:

• the hosting provider of our website and email;
• the qualified trust service provider for digital signatures, to the extent needed to sign documents;
• public authorities, only where required by law.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations (e.g. tax obligations). After that, we delete it securely.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at info@translationgateway.gr.

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

Security

This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We handle your documents in strict confidence, and digital deliverables carry a qualified electronic signature.

Cookies

This website uses a single cookie, which is strictly necessary for it to work:

• tg_session – remembers the language you chose and protects forms against forged submissions. It is deleted when you close your browser.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not load content from third parties (such as fonts or maps), so your consent is not required.
